Description

Dual Plenum intake manifold fabrication kit for Mitsubishi Evo I–IX 4G63

MWS Motorsport Dual Plenum is a WRC-style fabrication kit for building an intake manifold for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo I–IX 4G63 engine. The kit includes an engine-specific CNC-machined intake manifold flange, four profiled runners and four velocity stacks.

The two-chamber Dual Plenum design is intended to distribute charge air evenly between the cylinders. The tapered tube directs air through its flow slot into the plenum chamber, then through the velocity stacks and runners to the engine intake ports.

The components are made from lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant 6082 aluminium with good weldability. During fabrication, the tapered tube can be positioned to face forwards or backwards and to the right or left, to suit the engine bay and charge-pipe layout.

Included in the kit

  • CNC-machined aluminium intake manifold flange for the 4G63 engine
  • weld-together plenum chamber halves
  • 4 velocity stacks
  • 4 profiled runners
  • tapered tube and flow-optimised end cap
  • inlet cover plate
  • flow-slot support bar
  • detailed fabrication and welding instructions

Assembly and additional parts

The fabrication kit components must be welded using AC TIG. The throttle-body flange is purchased separately.
