MoTeC is at the leading edge of these technologies, developing many complementary devices in-house and outsourcing others from reputable suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>The following MoTec accessories are offered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>E888 Expansion Unit<\/strong>: designed to increase the I\/O (input\/output) capacity of MoTeC products. With CAN connectivity and a number of configurable inputs and outputs, they provide customers with greater flexibility to add sensors, customise channels and control more auxiliary functions. The E888 expander inputs have medium resolution and update rate, where higher update rates or resolution are required consider using the VIM input expander<\/li>\n<li><strong>SLM (Shift Light Module)<\/strong>: used for shift lights, warning lights or other indicators as programmed by the user. It provides eight multicolor LED indicator lights in a compact array. The color, intensity and purpose of each LED can be controlled independently, providing enormous flexibility and scope for customization. A set of patterns can be defined with various color combinations and flashing modes, to indicate, for example: stop immediately, continue with caution, pit lane speed limiter active and, of course, up-shift and down-shift. The LEDs can be programmed in a priority order so that, for instance, a warning light can override a shift light. The SLM is configured and controlled using a MoTeC ECU or Display\/Logger. Compatible MoTeC devices have special programming functions for the SLM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IGN4 Ignition Module<\/strong>: 4-channel high current ignition coil driver for use with most inductive ignition coils. This device does not incorporate dwell control, current limiting or current sensing, so should only be used in systems which offer precise dwell control using multi-tooth crankshaft reference sensors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Choose the desired accessory from the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the demands on vehicle electronics increase, new accessories are being introduced every season.
