We offer a full selection of HKS Super Fire Racing family of spark plugs optimized for race and tuning applications, featuring reinforced ignition capabilities, durability and anti-insulation. The thermal edge of the ceramic insulator discharges to help decrease carbon deposits under long idling.
Heat ranges are designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures under demanding race conditions.
The HKS MR40-XLZ, MR45-XLZ and MR45-HLZ spark plugs are part of the newer HKS “MR Series” of Super Fire Racing plugs. The “MR” specifically highlights that these plugs incorporate a Ruthenium Alloy Electrode for enhanced performance and longevity.
They have a Long Reach M12 x 26,5 thread and a wrench size 14 mm / 35/64″ (HLZ) or 16 mm / 5/8″ (XLZ), and their firing point protrudes 2 mm / 5/64″.
These plugs are designed for modern performance cars that utilize the M12 thread and long reach, particularly those where a protruding electrode offers benefits.
- MR40/45-XLZ: Suzuki Swift Sport (ZC33S)
- MR45-HLZ: Honda Civic Type R (FK8/FL5) , Toyota GR Yaris, Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86 (FA20/FA24) applications, especially for tuned setups.
MR-XLZ -series offers two heat ranges: 40 (NGK 8) and 45 (NGK 9)
MR-HLZ -model heat range is 45 (NGK 9).
